Spring is on its way! Would you, your business, organization, or family be interested in volunteering your time to help us clean up the Community after our long and cold winter?
You provide the people power, and we will provide the location options, garbage bags and drop-off points.
We know that not everyone can come out on April 22nd, so we have extended the clean-up and pick-up period to a week. You can take part from April 20th to April 26th.
Safety first
If participating, stay at least 5-feet away from the roadway.
City staff will take care of the spaces and ditches next to and on roadways.
Avoid walking in water.
Event dates
April 15th, registration and supply pick up at City Hall, during regular office hours.
April 20th to 26th, community clean-up period.
What to do
Leave tied and filled bags near the roadside for our Parks or Operations staff to collect.
What to wear and bring
A bright-coloured top, coat or vest so you can be easily seen.
Closed-toed shoes
Pants
Gloves, do not pick trash with your bare hands. Garden gloves are the best type of glove for this event. We will provide latex gloves for any anyone needing them.
Water, please stay hydrated.
Optional items - insect repellent and a hat.
Where to clean
All locations are available, for example, all of our parks, trails, playground and some of our open spaces and facilities.
