On December 2nd, the City of North Battleford will officially open the Senator Jenny Spyglass Outdoor Arena. Senator Jenny Spyglass has served as Chief and Councillor of Mosquito Grizzly Bear's Head Lean Man First Nation and was the first female Senator appointee to both Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs (BATC) and the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations (FSIN). Senator Spyglass serves the Battlefords region tirelessly to provide guidance and thoughtful education to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous community members about the residential school system, of which she is a survivor.
